I've enjoyed many of the films listed in the poll, but I definitely have to put the original Vacation at the top of my list.

Edit: Just after I voted, I noticed it said vote for your top 5...oops. If I had to consider another 4, it would be Fletch, Christmas Vacation, Foul Play, Seems Like Old Times

Seems Like Old Times easily #1, and I would argue that it was his best as well.

The likewise underrated Funny Farm deserves honorable mention, as does Fletch.

I think most will agree "Vacation" is his best film. After that? I would rate:

"Funny Farm"
"Fletch"
"Foul Play"
"Christmas Vacation"
"Seems Like Old Times"

Fletch is way in the lead, followed by Vacation and Foul Play. Was very disappointed by Spies Like Us and I've never liked Caddyshack.

I don't consider Caddyshack to be a "Chevy Chase movie" per se. Too much of an ensemble piece.

As much as I absolutely love Foul Play and Seems Like Old Times those aren't his films. They are Goldie Hawn's all the way and she gets the funny lines and (most) of the funny situations in them - especially Foul Play.

I'd say my favorites are:

01. Funny Farm - okay so this may not be the best movie but out of all of the ones listed above its the one I can rewatch the most.
02. Vacation
03. Fletch
04. European Vacation
05. Christmas Vacation

Not a difficult choice, because Chevy Chase is normally excruciatingly unfunny and most of his movies suck.

That being said, Christmas Vacation is the only non-ensemble Chase movie I can stomach.
