OK Groucho, I watched the video ... I can't decide which was more annoying: the song itself or the sad attempt to revive '80s fashion.
Are you sure that isn't just Will dressed in drag?

Wow...not only are they remaking a movie, the idea of a black Annie was the basis of an episode of Boston Legal.
It's like a double dose of unoriginality!

And what's more, I don't see why Willow Smith should play Annie. Not because she is black or even because she is Will Smith's daughter, but because she just doesn't have the vocal chops to pull it off. Her "song" that everyone is raving about is truly awful and there is no real singing going on it. The fact that the Smith kids are getting starring roles without having really earned it is annoying, but hardly the worst of it. At least if they were talented or had proven themselves capable it would be easier to stomach, but they aren't as talented as their parents as of now and definitely haven't proven they're doing anything but riding the coattails of their parents.
But at the very least, why can't the Smiths, like you said, do original movies with their kids? I definitely enjoyed The Pursuit Of Happyness, although that had very little to do with Jaden Smith. Work on developing new properties and ideas instead of going back and remaking things that not only didn't need to be remade, but didn't need to be remade into inferior versions.
Not only is that statement outrageous, it's patently untrue.

I'd rather see Annie Potts remake "Willow"

Can't see her as Annie, but I think she would be perfect as Heidi.

Get over it people.
I don't remember all of you getting upset when Zac Efron and Shia Lebouf were cast in that remake of Menace II Society.

Never gave a rats behind about the original (or any attempt thereafter to reproduce it) so I could definitely care less about this remake, regardless of who's in it. -kd5-

I mean, it's kind of messed up, because if their parents are in a position to help their kids achieve their dream of doing what they really want to do, then I shouldn't be criticizing it.
But it's always going to be a question of how much of it is talent, and how much is it just a rich parent indulging their children?
It kind of reminds of when Paris Hilton wanted to become a singer and just because of her celebrity and money, was able to get the deal she did.
I really don't care that it would be a black Annie. I never even watched the original Annie movie. I didn't care when the Honeymooners had Cedric the Entertainer in there. Alot of these properties are so old that it doesn't hurt to have them be a little different from the source material.
