Re: Original Film Posters
I was looking to find a nice poster of To Live and Die in LA for Friedkin to sign when I went to his retrospective. Too bad the one sheets I found were a bit pricey, but I guess I never did see those as common posters.

Re: Original Film Posters
Made my first successful order through e-movie posters and they sent a movie poster book along with my order, is this something they do for new customers or every time?

Re: Original Film Posters
Nice card dude! They run those promotions from time to time. Whenever the auction category is something they ship flat (folded posters, lobby cards, etc) is when they bust it out. I got one on cowboy movie posters not too long ago. Its a cool little extra.

Interesting site, I am building a want list for the next few weeks so I can stop lurking it every other day.
Was bidding on this but the price went past what I am willing to pay for a movie I have never seen: http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5...dupe1jm009.jpg |

Very nice. I like that matte you put around it too. I've gone after that one a few times in auctions, never been able to land it though.

Re: Original Film Posters
I collect primarily posters from Kubrick films. My best poster I'd say is the 2001: A Space Odyssey poster with the Star Child and the tagline "The Ultimate Trip." I also try and acquire posters from David Lynch, Malick, and Gilliam films. I have a bunch of Kubrick lobby cards. Everything is packed away. It's difficult to find 27x41 frames anywhere let alone find one that isn't cheaply built.

Was hugely annoyed when Aaron Bros. stopped carrying 27X41 in favor of 27X40. |
Re: Original Film Posters
I get most of my frames online, though I've fallen badly behind on them.
Glad to see some others that collect original posters/lobby cards/etc... though. The Mondo and other screenprints are cool but personally I'd rather have original art from the movie. |
