Best Supporting Actor Oscar 1994?
Who do you guys think was the most deserving winner out of those nominated. Landau and Jackson were the stand outs but I think they got it right picking Landau, its probably one of my favorite wins ever and such an inspired pick. I might be doing more of these best supporting actor oscar threads running through random years

Fifteen years later, Jackson's performance is the one that stands out as making the strongest impression, so fifteen years later, I'll say Jackson should have won.

I know 'Forrest Gump' has a great deal of haters, and I understand to a degree, even though I still do like the film, BUT saying Sinise didn't deserve a nomination compared to who was nominated isn't quite fair.
He did quite a good job. Scofield is the least memorable to me, and I did see 'Quiz Show', it just didn't leave all that great of an impression. I think some people in 1994 were 'prisoners of the moment' with 'Quiz Show'.
Has to be Jackson out of who was actually nominated.
I might still go with Jackson over others I think gave a great performance like- Freeman in Shawshank, one of the actors out of Chungking Express, or Shaq in Blue Chips...

I think Sam Jackson had better scenes but Martin Landau had a better performance. I still crack up just thinking about the scene where Bela is told he was a great sidekick to Boris Karloff. "Karloff? Sidekick?Fuck You! Karloff did not deserve to smell my shit. That limey cock sucker can rot in he'll for all I care."

Didn't Martin Landau already win this? Why the hell are we still being asked to vote on it?
I'm still pissed that Landau didn't thank Bela Lugosi in his acceptance speech.
