I'll be remembering him today by watching A Shot in the Dark, my favorite of the Panther films, which is conveniently available on Instant Netflix: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/A_...637#height1421 |

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Just a few months ago I was treated to a double feature of The Pink Panther and A Shot In The Dark at the Aero Theater. Blake Edwards will be missed.

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
I just watched "10" for the first time the other day. I love the Pink Panther films. I think Skin Deep is underrated too but it is very 80's. I also like Blind Date too. RIP.

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
The man that got Julie Andrews to show her tatas.

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Fuck!

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
The glow in the dark condom sequence in Skin Deep is one of the funniest things i've ever seen.
RIP Blake |

RIP :(
Nice to see others mention "Blind Date." |
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Why did I think he died a few years ago? Who could I have gotten him confused with?
|
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
I think I might throw in S.O.B. and lament his passing.
|
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Thank you for bringing us such wonderful movies. RIP :(
|
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
My favorite Edwards film is the service comedy, THE PERFECT FURLOUGH (1958), starring Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh and Linda Cristal. OPERATION PETTICOAT'S not bad, either.

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
I've been enjoying the recent airings of 'Victor/Victoria'. Edwards made some great movies.

Always loved the Pink Panther series. Except for Son of the Pink Panther, of course.
I've also enjoyed Skin Deep and Switch. Never saw Breakfast at Tiffany's, Blnd Date, or 10. |
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
RIP Blake -
I wonder if Professor Fate, the Great Leslie and Maggie Dubois were there to greet you... |
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
I think it's criminal that basically no one knows it even exists, but 'Wild Rovers' is probably my favorite film from him.
What a cast: Willaim Holden, Karl Malden, Tom Skerritt, Joe Don Baker, Ryan O'Neal, Moses Gunn, Victor French, etc. Love that film. |
Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Vale.

Re: RIP Blake Edwards
Rest in peace...
