But midget couples still look up to you two, right?

Whether that news tidbit is true or not, I hope Stewart isn't cast. Lois doesn't need to be some angsty lesbo with no attractive qualities.

I doubt they are "staring" because of your height...

Good point. It's probably because there are only two of us.

You know, if the internet was around in 1977, people would probably be saying the same thing about Margot Kidder.

Any "relief" I might have that Kristen Stewart will not Lois Lane is entirely obliterated by the absolute dread that she was seriously considered and courted in the first place.

So unnamed source (4th hand) is saying what did or didn't happen, which is directly in opposition to released statements from representatives. Why do people even report on this stuff as "news"? It's like I could go down to the paper or news and say something that sounds right, but say "Oh wait! Don't name me."

I still can't believe Matthew Goode was seriously considered for the Superman role.

That's why I have a hard time even beliving she was. I haven't seen any of Snyders work (runs and hides...), but he doesn't seem like the type of person - especially with Nolan backing - to cast something a studio might be pushing, especially when he went out of left field in his Superman/Clark casting.

Just let it not be Malin Ackerman for the Lois Lane role...

re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)

I can sorta see why "Watchmen" had a B/C-list cast (Matthew Goode, Malin Akerman, Jackie Earl Haley, etc). WB couldn't afford A-list talent while the budget was already $150-$200 million without them, and the film was a TOTAL GAMBLE. I can also understand why you would cast a little- or un-known as Superman, given that it obliterates audience expectations for the character/performance.

But the ONLY reason the first Superman (the 1978 Christopher Reeve flick) ever got off the ground was because Brando agreed to be Jor-El before anyone else was cast. With Brando's cred, Gene Hackman jumped on immediately and financiers were following all over themselves to fund the flick.

SUPERMAN needs dramatic weight from the supporting cast, both as names and as actors. Sort of like, say, Tom Hanks as Perry White or Daniel Day Lewis as Brainiac, that sort of thing.

There is no chance that Zach Snyder would even consider hiring an unattractive bore like Kristen Stewart. He likes to use hot actresses in his films.

But in Utah a Lutheran/Methodist couple would probably qualify as interracial.

There are exactly two religions in Utah: Mormon and Gentile. Only one is recognized by the state.

Kristen Stewart unattractive? Only on DVDTalk.

I think Anne Hathway would have been perfect as Lois, she would be a better Lois than Catwoman.

Kristen Stewart isn't hot, but she isn't ugly either. She's grown up well since playing that little boy in Panic Room. I actually thought she did alright in Welcome to the Rileys, though I know the critic that reviewed it here wasn't a fan.

I dunno, she's kinda mousey and Lois needs more spunk.

And no, Kristen Stewart is not attractive.

I can honestly say I saw probably about two or three dozen better looking women on my 25-minute commute to work this morning.

I had hopes she'd be cast in Superman Returns as Lois, but that was never going to happen with Kevin Spacey in the mix (he was really in Kate Bosworth's corner back then).

That's because you are in South Florida. 7 out of 10 young women are going to have an amazing body and 10 out of 10 are going to be parading it on the streets
