We saw this movie last night and completely loved it...best non-pixar Disney movie since the Emperor's new Groove/Lilo and Stich.
Also Maximus is the best Disney sidekick character in a LONG time.

Great great movie. And one of Disney's finest.

So this seemed to do pretty well (not sure if it's due to the changes they made so that this would have broader appeal or due to the movie itself). Is there still the "no-more-princesses" edict?

At just shy of 200M in the U.S. ($199,084,028 as of this weekend to be exact), and $376,900,000 in the rest of the world ($575,984,028 total)....I'd say this movie did more than pretty well.

Rapunzel has been wildly popular in the parks. I hear the meet-and-greet lines are 2+ hours.

This is still very much a Disney Princess movie.

I have a friend in Disney World right now so I sent him a text. Sure enough, 2 hours for Rapunzel. On the flipside he said he talked with Tiana and Naveen for 10 minutes.

Yeah, I went to Disneyland last weekend and that was one of the longest lines.
I thought they also changed the marketing on it? And that they scrapped much of the original concept and brought the two producers from Bolt onto the project (which I guess was a while ago).
My purely-selfish reasons for wanting the Disney princess movies to continue is that my daughter is only 2...
