Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
So they dropped the rest of the cast? I'd think the girl car would be in as well.
|
Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
I'm sure she'll be in it, at least briefly. I gotta imagine Luigi and Guido will be there too.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Not sure if I'm there. Craps IMO is the 2nd worst Pixar film, right behind Crapatouille which are the only 2 I didn't watch in theaters and haven't owned in any home video format.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
^ Wow. That was some creative movie retitling on your behalf.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
this might be the first movie I take the kid to. looks good.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
... I do agree with Kal-El's direction, though (although Ratatoille is awesome).
Of all of the Pixar movies to give a sequel to, this one seems least likely to me. Cars is my second least favorite Pixar after A Bug's Life. There are some good moments, but the characters are weak and non descript, there's very little in the movie for adults and the plot is obvious Tom Cruise "brash young man makes good" quest material. The Incredibles would have been a much better choice for a sequel. On the other hand, I didnt see any way they were going to make a good Toy Story 3, but that may be my favorite of the Toy Story movies. |
Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
For whatever reason, Cars is the one Pixar movie I watch if I happen to see it while channel surfing. I really liked it and am looking forward to the Euro version with some nice new cars. I thought the Doc Hollywood plot worked great and old Paul was pretty good.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Paul Newman left some big shoes to fill from the first film, but I think Michael Caine is a great choice, and "Finn McMissile" looks to be a great character.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
I like the old school spy theme they've added to it... probably won't see it in theaters but looking forward to it.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Cars: Pixar franchises:: Khloe: Kardashians

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Looks fun, Cars has grown on me over the years.
|
Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Cars is also my least favorite Pixar film along with Nemo but the sequel looks pretty good.
|
Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
The original has grown on me over the years, and when I first heard the sequel would have them going around the world for different races, I was a little excited, but this idea of the "international espionage" thing looks like overkill.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Wall-E is the worst Pixar film I've seen (awful), followed by The Incredibles (boring).
Monsters Inc., A Bug's Life, and Cars are some of the best. |
Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Mater-centric? No thanks. I'll rent it, but I think this might be the first Pixar movie I didn't see in the theater.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
Same here - Cars is my least Fave Pixar film, but from friends who work there, this one is way better than the 1st. Obviously they work there, but they are honest about preferences in the films.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
I like Cars quite a bit, but I'm not really a fan of the spy motiff they're going for here. Just seems way out there from what I enjoyed about the first movie.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
I never seen the first Cars movie, but this trailer had me laughing. Pretty cool.

Re: Cars 2 (Pixar, Summer 2011)
I also think that Cars sold the most merchandise for Pixar - hence the sequl

Geez, those are probably my two favorite, although Up, TS2 and TS3 are up there.
To each their own, though I am mystified as to how anyone could like Wall-E. I did like Up though so I was glad to see they hadn't totally lost it. |
