We Hardly Knew Thee: Short Screen Time, Potent Death(SPOILERS)

I have seen many movies where I was moved by the death of a character, despite the fact that they didn't have much screen time. In fact, their role was so small it could barely be considered a supporting role. However, when they died, it still struck a chord and I was sorry to see them go.

Examples:

Mouse in The Matrix- he might have looked strange, but I thought he was very likeable. Hated to see him go.

Hakken/Big Germanic Guy in Gladiator- not in too much of the movie, but I found him a fun character with what little he had.

Pa Kent in Superman- this is the big one for me. He's in the movie for about all of three minutes, if that. However, the scene where he's racing young Clark and then suddenly grabs his hand and matter of factly says: "Oh no.." is very saddening. You have seen little of this man, but his death still packs a wallop.

EDIT: let me clarify short screen time. This disqualifies roles similar to Marion Crane/Janet Leigh's part in Psycho.

Made more potent by the fact we never see them in anymore in horror. :(

Probably my most favorite sick @$$hole ever. His last line is, IMO, one of the greatest ever spoken.

Not sure if this qualifies (Predators)
Spoiler:
but Laurence Fishburne was only in it maybe 10-minutes (max) before getting killed by a Predator.

Hopper definitely counts. In fact, a lot of characters in QT related movies could count as he seldom undewrites anyone.
