I remember what kinda went on in the SI trailer..but I fucking VIVIDLY remember the shots, music, editing etc. used in that damn trailer for Vantage Point.

That's exactly what i mean, in the 80s/90s they knew how to end with really rousing things, now it's awful and for some reason seem really shorter like they're meak to sell the movies now.

They played the trailer in front of a midnight showing of The Expendables I attended, and the audience loudly booed and mocked when his name popped up.

When this movie hit HD Movies on Demand, the ad for this film got overplayed every time I put on the HD on Demand cable channel. Every time I turned to it, I kept on hearing "Let's get this party staaaarted!"
