Re: Favorite horror franchise villain
Kind of depends on what I’m in the mood for honestly. I think ultimately I would say Jason as I find the Friday the 13th films the most fun. Chucky and Michael Myers are up there too though.
I actually think Freddy is my least favorite of the big ones. For some reason I never got as into the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. There are actually a couple sequels I’ve never even watched or haven’t seen in ages.

Also what an unimaginative list of poll options.
Pinhead? Leatherface? Ghostface? Dracula? Norman Bates? Hannibal Lecter? Samara? The Creeper? The Tall Man? Chucky? Leprechaun?

Halloween ‘78 is my second favorite horror film and probably the best slasher of all time. However Friday the 13th is my favorite franchise.

Freddy Krueger used to be my favorite. Could be scary, could be funny, the movies were fairly imaginative. Chucky was a close second, for similar reasons, although I could have done without Seed of Chucky. Upon rewatching most of them, I started liking Jason more and more. Just a relentless machine. Pinhead is high on the list too, but gets lost in a ton of pretty bad sequels.

Freddy, I just never really got. I actually spent one weekend a few years ago binging the entire series (aside from the remake) and it just never really clicked. Not sure why, even the original doesn't do much for me. I have to give Robert Englund props, as he does do a good job, but the whole "killing you in your sleep" just doesn't frighten me...
I did like the inclusion of "Death" in the poll, as I do really get a kick outta the Final Destination movies...they're always inventive and just a blast to watch, especially amongst friends with a few beers and a couple of joints...

No love for Victor Crowley? Aside from a pretty badass horror villain name, he’s a pretty great villain in an underrated horror franchise.
