Drive Angry 3D- Nicholas Cage as vengeance seeking father

Hrm...action horror..w/ Cage? Hrm..anyway...uhm...some of the car bits seem kinda cool...yeah..I dunno about this one but....damn Cage is really in a lot of flicks. I knew that but...it hasn't hit me till now.

In this newest action horror shot in 3D, a vengeful father (Nicolas Cage) hunts down the people who brutally killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. As the chase gets bloodier by the mile, his rescue spins out of control, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

Re: Drive Angry 3D- Nicholas Cage as vengeance seeking father

yeah...but at least I thought I'd bring it up.

I just saw the trailer again...I think walking away from a blast needs to be stopped. Jesus...I can't think of anything cool anymore of that kind of thing. Was there any cool "walking away from an explosion" moment? I know there was..but I can't think of it anymore.

What a horrible title, just really stupid. It sounds like a parody of a genre that hasn't existed since the 70's.

HOLY SHIT.....I didn't know the film was about this! WTF?! Wha?!! That teaser I put up originally in NO WAY alludes to the shit in this trailer. Good god...this went from horrid to...what's fucking worse than horrid? Raped by George Lucas?!

You must have missed Taken.

Other than than Cage wearing his hair combed straight back from his forehead, and the title, why do so many have a problem with flicks they haven't seen?

Too late to do something about Cage's hair, but changing the title wouldn't hurt. Calling it Road Rage might work.

^ Because people like to rush to conclusions too fast. They like to be "first" in bashing a movie. This movie could be great, but the marketing department needs to rethink what a trailer should be. I do wish that this whole 3-D trend would go away so that filmmakers could get back to making real movies, instead of focusing on the 3-D aspect and forgetting to make a good movie. That and these "grindhouse" movies. That trend needs to stop too.

It's just mind boggling how many bad movies he's been cranking out... it's only by chance he's had some good ones. No signs of slowing down either... up next is that fantasy film with Ron Perlman, a thriller with Nicole Kidman, Ghost Rider 2... none of those sound promising.

The fantasy film with Ron Perlman is Season of the Witch and it's been sitting on the shelf of Lionsgate for a year now. I have friends who have seen it and they thought it was awful, no wonder why Lionsgate has done nothing with it.

You guys don't like the new trailer? I think it's really cool.

In the first trailer, I had no idea that it was a fantasy flick.

William Fichtner versus Nicholas Cage. American muscle cars. A plot and a sense of humour that would be right at home in an episode of Supernatural.

What's not to love?

That trailer looks awesome. Don't know what people have against a little fun in a movie, you don't need to be emo all the time.

Bonus points for a title that describes the movie, that's always a bonus.

Re: Drive Angry 3D- Nicholas Cage as vengeance seeking father

One man's fun is another's mind-numbingly stupid. I get that it doesn't take itself seriously, but I still think that it looks unwatchable.
