It's the closest because it's a poor rehash of the original. They copied the plot, most of the characters, plot elements, lines of dialog...even the final battle. Sorry, but even though Predator 2 was no masterpiece, it still kicked the shit out of Predators. At least it tried to do something original. Predators is better than AVP and AVP: Requiem, I'll concede that. But that's not really saying much.
