* Moon Bloodgood as Driver's girlfriend
* Oliver Jackson-Cohen as a self-made millionaire who kills for fun
* Billy Bob Thornton as a veteran cop
* Maggie Grace as Killer's Girlfriend

Tom Berenger and Carla Gugino have been confirmed to have roles in the film.

Plot:
An ex-convict (The Rock) avenges his brother's death after they were double-crossed during a heist.

Yeah....I'm game for this. Can it be true? Can Dwayne Johnson be in a cool movie w/ action? Also...If he proves himself or even if he doesn't. Stallone needs to put him in The Expendables 2. Also..Danny Fucking Trejo. And Kurt Russell.....w/ Arnold (in great shape) kicking ass w/ Stallone on the same frame.

Trejo was out of The Expendables because the budget wouldn't allow for his inclusion (Stallone had written a major action set piece with Trejo in mind) so, if it does well, they can probably have enough cash to squeeze him in a sequel. Russell (or rather his agent) said no so it's doubtful Stallone would call on him again. The Rock would be awesome as a member of Arnold's crew (his character used to lead the Expendables but he broke away and formed his own group) in a sequel.

As for the Rock in action, after seeing him on location here shooting Fast and Furious 5, he could play Kratos in a God of War movie. He looks that badass.

Bro...you and I both know that I know wtf happened to the casting on The Expendables. lol. Fuck!!! I just want Trejo to get recognized beyond RR flicks. Of course he does that Machete prequel out too..lol.

And damn you, KR. Damn you. Actually it'd be cool if The Rock was part of Arnold's crew. I wonder who else could be in The Expendables 2? Just get Willis to do something w/ action too. Damnit. I want those 3 in the same frame kicking ass and being awesome than just being awesome.

Saw this yesterday and it looks good. Between this and 5 Fast I hope he sticks with action for a while. Maybe the Disney contract is up :lol:

Yeah but the action movies weren't selling nearly as well as the "stupid comedies". You go where the money is, my friends. I can't fault him for that.

Yeah totally. This is the type of film he needs to be doing. It's sad that this guy has potential but never enough to be in the same breath as The Expendables. he could be a damn fine action hero but...no..he did The Tooth Fairy or that one where he has a daughter and he's football player.

Maybe this was part of a brilliant plan...

He did a couple of decent action flicks, to show what he can do. Then rather than being typecast quickly, and we turn on him for doing the same thing (like we know we would) he flips and does comedy/kids movies.

We keep waiting for him to be back in action, and when he finally does we jump up with excitement...

That and his kids' flicks (The Game Plan, Race To Witch Mountain, and The Tooth Fairy) weren't all that bad. I found them quite watchable. :shrug:

There's no reason why you have to see them, honestly. But they're not bad movies. They're just sweet little movies that happened to feature the Rock. The only one you might be compelled to see is Race To Witch Mountain because it's actually an action movie (albeit a bloodless action movie) masquerading as a kids' movie.

Looks pretty good. And I liked Johnson in the Tooth Fairy, Witch Mountain, Get Smart, etc, and the other light movies.

Yup, he was. In fact, except for Get Smart (I was gonna watch that regardless), he's the reason I gave those films a shot. And I'm glad that I did.

I will be there, this looks fun and it is nice to see The Rock back doing what he should have been doing when he left wrestling.
