Didn't recognize the name, but immediately the picture brought to mind his role as the Indians manager in Major League.

Michael T Hudson 07-17-10 09:11 PM

Re: RIP James Gammon

Charlie Donovan: How would you like to manage the Indians this year?
Lou Brown: Gee, I don't know...
Charlie Donovan: What do you mean, you don't know? This is your chance to manage in the big leagues.
Lou Brown: Let me get back to you, will ya, Charlie? I got a guy on the other line asking about some white walls.

RIP. He was so great in Major League.

Lou Brown: Nice catch, Hayes. Don't ever fuckin' do it again.

I loved him in 'Cabin Boy'. He could do comedy too.

He did a lot of good work in westerns, I guess I'll always remember him for 'alllll right, all right, all riiight, alllll riiight' from 'Urban Cowboy' though.

And as that disaster in motion Texan in 'Revenge'.
