Underrated cliches

What are some cliches in movies you're tired of, that aren't mentioned all that much? For me, the main character who has something from their past, haunting him/her.

Isn't the whole point of a cliche that it's overused?

So you hate inner character conflict? Not a fan of Superhero movies I'm guessing...

I hate jokes. It's like in every fucking movie I watch somebody has to say something funny at some point. Yet I seem to be the only one bothered by this cliche. I also hate movies with plots. Every movie has one, yet no one calls it like it is, it's a cliche. That God for Michael Bay and Paul W.S. Anderson for a breath of fresh air.

That's a very common movie cliche.

Wait, what was the question again? :)

I mean when there's a cliche list posted somewhere. I don't remember seeing that one.
