I'm going to be home for Memorial Day weekend, and my mom's a fan and dragged Dad to the first one. Dad says he isn't going this time and Mom seems to be hinting that she wants to drag me this time. I will say that I saw the first one on DVD because I got her the extended cut for Christmas that year. I will also say that I have seen a few eps. here and there and found them somewhat amusing, but didn't get the love for it.

Do any of you plan on going? I'm in the not if I can help it category, but am wondering who out there might have to go.

After working at a theater for the first one, I've decided that what I will do for this one is print up a shirt that says "Yes you CAN sleep with me for better Sex and the City tickets." You bring up an interesting point. My former roommate and I were at a bar next to a theater on the opening night of the first one and it was amazing how many glitzed up women/girls were out and about that night (all drinking Cosmos of course).

Honestly, I had women practically throwing themselves at me to get them better seats for the first movie opening weekend. If my boss hadn't been there, I would have been AWOL more often than not.

I watched the first one on Cinemax, and thought it was actually okay, not near as offensive to men as the show. It would be fun to see it in the theater opening weekend to see all the women in the crowd.

Never saw the show or the first movie so this one won't be seen either. I'm honestly a bit surprised that my wife shows no interest in this. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Nope... And to add to the fun of the thread, I have a penis and a wife who wants to see it probably less than I do. I actually enjoyed the show and thought the first one was ok. But this looks god awful and its time to let the show/series go already. I mean fuck, even Kristin Davis cant save these women.

Put me down as another fan of the series. While I definitely have reservations about this particular entry - I'm still going to go out of curiosity of where these characters are in their lives.

I liked the series. Thought it was sharp and entertaining as hell. It wasn't a favorite show by any means, but a good one nonetheless.

The movie was an overlong pile of tripe. Terrible.

We'll probably rent the sequel or catch it on cable at some point, but if you're asking will I see it in theaters, the answer is a resounding No.

I selected "yes", but it's a pretty loosely interpreted "yes". I rented the show years ago and got through the first couple seasons.. thought it was quite good... never saw the first movie. So.. yeah, I guess I'll get to this someday, if I go ahead and watch the first one.. But I'm OCD, so I feel like I have to watch the rest of the series first, which I doubt I'll get to. So, I might go ahead and check out the first one someday, then eventually the 2nd one. None of this is likely to happen while the 2nd one is still in theatres.. so my "yes" is more of a "someday". Thanks for your time.

I'm a big fan of the series and saw the first movie opening day and really enjoyed it. It had its problems, sure, but it was a good entry in the series. At the time, it served as a great bookend to the show and gave the fans some resolution. I'm a little worried about this movie, if only because the first one gave the characters good resolutions and I'm not sure where they will go from those resolutions. Still, I'll be there opening day to see this and hope it doesn't ruin what was a nice sendoff.
