"The Flamingo Kid" - question
 

I just watched this for the first time last night, and there was one part near the end where I said, "did I miss something?"

After Dillon beat Crenna at gin, the two old croonies on Dillon's team are happy they won. Dillon whispers something to one of the old croonies, and the croony sits down hard, looking like he's ready to faint.

A few minutes later, Dillon tells Crenna that he told [the croony].

Was a scene cut from this DVD? What did Dillon know? That Crenna was cheating? If so, how did he know?

Crenna had a guy who was always behind the opposing players throwing signs of their cards. He was a fat dude who passed out during the big game and was taken away.
