So, this isn't the sequel to Unbreakable?
This could be good. I think I caught a glimpse of Brandon Routh in a quick shot... |

Hopefully it won't be Unwatchable.

Isn't this a standard plot line on any given episode of 24?

Indeed, I really enjoyed this one. Jackson was fantastic, even Moss stood out. Neat premise and well executed.

I saw this last week as a rental and I enjoyed 80% of it. Jackson was awesome along with Carrie Ann Moss. However, you could see that this movie was done on the cheap. Most of it was shot on a sound stage and there was one scene where a major bomb explosion occurs and the effects on that scene were really cheap along with them using old news footage for the aftermath. The final act went straight down the toilet because IMO, the movie felt incomplete unless it was the director's intention to leave the ending for open interpretation. It's a decent rental, but don't expect alot of action. I think the intent of this film was more or less a character study.

I wondered if there was thread on this here. I started one in the Political Film because I thought the discussion might get carried away with strong opinions.
It dived headlong into the issue. Not a great film by any stretch, but an interesting film. It was unnecessarily melodramatic I thought, which took away from the film's legitimacy considerable. I would have liked this story a lot more in a better director's hands. |

Wasn't this territory already kind of covered in The Siege with Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis and Annette Benning?
