Trying to identify a music cue in Shaolin Soccer
In Shaolin Soccer, there was a music cue which is a reference to another movie, and I can't place it. It occurs at the climax of the movie, when Mui is the goalie, facing the Team Evil forward. As he winds up to kick, a demon forms over his head, and the music plays.
What the heck is that music?

I just popped it in. It sounds familiar, but it's possible it just sounds like music from something else, unintentionally.

The Lion King

The most surprising track is however 'Victory', because here it especially apes big time Hans Zimmer's music from The Lion King, not only the whirling strings when Scar surrounds Simba with the guilt playing card at the end but also especially with his main theme in final glory, when choir and strings make the version work, in both the movie as on disc. Call it ripping off, but when others do it, why hate Raymond Wong for it? Its a good moment to hear.

I figured out what I was thinking. I was associating it with the closing music from Men In Black, during the animated zoom-in into the Galaxy from Orion's belt.
I've actually never seen The Lion King, but it wouldn't surprise me if both comedy movies ripped off music from that.
