Disappointing... was looking forward to another one. Yeah, most likely due to Tommorrowland's failure... which doesn't give you much confidence in their decision making because the two situations couldn't be more different. They invested into a brand 5yrs ago - which they either broke even on or lost a little.. a sequel (assuming it's budget was lower) is the chance to make up for that. Same situation with WWZ - they're going forward with the sequel to make good on their previous investment (imo).

Boo, you whores!

Surely the international and the home video take would be enough to make it worthwhile.

Damn that sucks. I really wanted to see what happened to Sam and Quorra after the first film, and what they were building up to with Dillinger Jr.

I was shocked when the sequel was greenlit.

Awwwwww, hell.

More clueless people in Hollywood. Tomorrowland was an idea that wasn't embraced by moviegoers. Tron was. Maybe not in ginormous numbers, but in large enough numbers that another sequel could easily have been profitable.

Damn them all to hell!!!!!!!

I thought Tron 2 was pretty weak but it made up for it in a lot of ways. Now they could have learned from it. And the music. Such a lost opportunity for them.

Tron 2 wasn't the deepest of flicks but neither was the first one. But both movies are such incredible experiences that I can forgive them being that way.

Disney is getting stingy since they can more than offset the costs due to how much the MCU films bring in.

And then come December, Star Wars (though I assume they're already made decent dough on it with merchandising).

That sucks. Disney has never known how to handle TRON. It's an eternal red headed step child.

Maybe we'll see Tron 3 in 2038 when half of DVD Talk is dead.

I wouldn't be amazed if we still kept the name. We're behind on everything else here.

God dammit Lindelof, you've gone from ruining everything you touch to ruining things without even having to touch them.

Then the digital world should have been called Tron. In the end, it's really weird to name your movie after a bit character that doesn't even rate as a co-star.
