damn.. who do I have to blackmail to get a trailer with David featured for more than a blink and you miss it..

This is one of those movies that I might have seen in the theaters when it came out. Once I heard that David was going to be in it. I was thrilled but still had not become a must see for me.

Now that I have seen his work I will be seeing this in the theater. Teenagers be damned.

the original is a classic but i saw the trailer for this and it looks equally cheesy and fun although a little far fetched when anton has that huge gun in the trailer i will say most remakes suck as most of you already know but idk how i feel about collin ferrell as the vampire guy next door

This looks incredible... and by that I mean unintentionally terrible.

Re: Fright Night remake (Gillespe) - News, rumors, cast

I'm thrilled with the trailer. Watched it a dozen times since last night.. Colin had reminded me of something I just couldn't put my finger on until to today. He reminds me of a Irish born tv vamp named Angelus.. It may be a completely ridiculous comparison but that's what Colin's Jerry reminded me of. Angelus from Buffy not the (not so bad) Angelus from Angel.

Seeing Colin's character dig up a gas line in the back yard just to blow up the house reminded me of the gleeful way David played his part. Killing Jenny, Stringing Williows fish together and putting them in a envelope. Leaving Jenny in Giles bed.

I think working on that show had a little influence on Marti's writing of this script. At least that's how it looks to me. I've watched Buffy and Angel so many times that maybe any vampire movie will have traits that remind me of those shows.

Re: Fright Night remake (Gillespe) - News, rumors, cast

The trailers aren't all that impressive, but the bits I have seen of Colin's performance have me somewhat interested in checking it out.

However, my biggest concern is why the blu for the original hasn't been announced yet. What good is a remake if it doesn't get a better version of the original released?

Not sure; I know you couldn't find it anywhere at Sam Goody or Musicland, had to go to Suncoast to get one in 1993.

Well, that trailer gave away every single plot point, so there's no sense in seeing the movie now.

Congrats to the new trailer for making the film look worse than the first trailer did.

About as popular as Near Dark was. It's got a cult following.

This is exactly why, I don't like to watch trailers on DVD, nor Blu-ray because they reveal too much of the story, and show practically every scene in the movie, which spoils everything.

I know a lot of people are eager for the David Tennant role in this film.

Dr. Who: Vampire Hunter (or is that Vampire Hunter Who)? I'm cool with that.

Loved the "pop your cherry" line.

I.Can.Not.Wait!!

I wish those lucky devils who saw the screening Friday would tell somebody if they liked it or not. I dont think I've seen any reviews..

yeah..the pop your cherry line made me chuckle..it was good.

Again...I haven't seen the original filmn but....from what bits I've seen of it I don't know if I'll jive w/ it. Sometimes the '80s is a bit much in the cheese, possible too much tongue in cheek for me. Not condoing the remake of the film..just saying. I've been jiving w/ the remake though.

Re: Fright Night remake (Gillespe) - News, rumors, cast

Saw this question on Twitter and I didn't see an answer so I'm going to ask it here. David is currently doing a show in London thru the first week in Sept. Is he going to take a few days and do press for the movie. Or just do video and magazine pieces?

For what I can see all showings of the play are sold out for the rest of the run. I dont see any breaks listed. If his part is as important as they claim it is then he should be doing at least a few interviews here, you think?

I think they released the clip they did at comic-con with Davids intro because he couldn't be there.

Not crazy about that accent. My theory on Peter Vincent in this movie (spoilerized, but not based on anything other than the trailers and knowledge of the first film):

Spoiler:
He dies early, leaving Charlie and friends to fight Jerry alone. It's also possible that he gets turned instead of Evil Ed.

They could do round table style interviews via the phone. I've been on the press side of those things. They could also hold a press junket over in London and fly the press in.

Thats what I was thinking. I really want to see him do press here and not the round table stuff. or just have the press fly over there. This could be a break thru role for him in the us. I would very much like him to do as many interviews here as possible (specifically Craig Ferguson).

"Well...maybe not the omelet."

I was going to see this anyway, but that clip was better than I expected.
