Not either of these.

Originally made for TV.

Spoiler:
A few more Escher-like shots of Netley hospital, a huge and apparently highly impractical (and abandonded) military hospital, demolished just after the film completed shooting.

The author of a Tony-winning Broadway musical can be seen in this shot. (Or more accurately can't be seen -- he's the one wearing the top hat).

It's a fascinating guess, but no.

The cast member on the left had a long and varied career in films and on stage, but is likely best remembered for starring in a long-lived (15 years) television program.

Random? Perhaps. Correct? Certainly.

Jonathan Miller's trippy take on Alice in Wonderland (unlike so many other adaptations, nothing from Through the Looking Glass is included) featured ...

Sir John Gielgud as the Mock Turtle …

Sir Michael Redgrave as the Caterpillar …

Leo McKern (Rumpole of the Bailey) as the Duchess …

Peter Cook (Bedazzled) as the Mad Hatter …

a pre-Monty Python Eric Idle (Spamalot) (in top hat) as an uncredited extra in the caucus race (Finlay Currie is at far left) …

Angelo Muscat (The Prisoner) (left) as an attendant to the Queen of Hearts …

and Anne-Marie Mallick, a solicitor's daughter whose only IMDB credit this was, as Alice.

Also with Michael Gough (Batman) and Peter Sellers (I'm All Right Jack). Music by Ravi Shankar.

C'mon, no offence, but are we posting TV shows now? I had a hell of a time finding this on IMDb after it had been identified.

It's a made-for-TV movie, not a show. Haven't there been a few of those in the past? Either way, wildcard!

I'll admit, it was a bit self-indulgent to post something made-for-TV, and I thought twice about it before going ahead. It's been on my mind since the Burton version was released. If others want to start posting a slew of TV movies, I suppose we need to decide if they are allowed, and if so to set up any needed rules (like identifying as a TV movie in the first post, etc.).

I'm not sure about TV movies, but I think there have been some direct-to-video things posted (i.e., not released in theaters), Castle Freak in the last thread for example.

Not according to IMDb, which calls it a "TV episode" of something called The Wednesday Play. Aren't we using IMDb as the standard-bearer of categorizations?

I'm not necessarily against TV movies myself, as there are many great ones worth acknowledging (though I probably would hesitate posting one myself simply because, although I'm all for obscure movies, TV movies really are, for the most part, unfairly seldom-seen, and might turn off the casual viewer of this thread), but I do think we should draw the line at TV shows. And IMDb lists this as a TV show. It doesn't even come up after a title search.

I'll take the wildcard. Here's the first image. I think this will be an easy one:

Re: Guess That Movie By Screenshot: 'Round Midnight

Since no one guessed on the first shot, I'll give two shots this time. Maybe these shots might make it a little easier:

Totally random guess of a movie I've never seen, but I've heard of it, so that means there is no way it's correct, but anyway.... Holes

Nope. This movie stars two actors who are also featured in a movie that came out this year and has grossed over 100 million.
