What happened to the HDNET Movies Early Premieres?
Last year they would show movies like Two Lovers, Yonkers Joe, and the World's Greatest Dad before they hit the theater.
Now for several months they have not shown any movies before they hit the theater.
Does anyone have any info on this?

I don't know if HDNet and HDNM are the same thing, but so far this year HDNM has shown Wonderful World, Red Cliff and District 13: Ultimatum.

Great selection of movies there. I pay $4.99 for this channel, and it's the best "bang for your buck" movie deal on cable.

Strange .. my channel guide shows the movie as a 1988 film called "Warlords" starring David Carradine and Sid Haig(!) but it is, in fact, the Jet Li film.

Late notice, but reminder that HDNet Movies has a premiere tonight:
One airing remains as of this writing.
The Good Heart
Written and Directed by: Dagur Kári
Starring: Brian Cox and Paul Dano.
Brian Cox stars as Jacques, the curmudgeonly owner of a gritty New York dive bar that serves as home to a motley assortment of professional drinkers. Jacques is determinedly drinking and smoking himself to death when he meets Lucas (Dano), a homeless young man who has already given up on life. Determined to keep his legacy alive, Jacques deems Lucas is a fitting heir and takes him under his wing, schooling him in the male-centric laws of his alcoholic clubhouse: no new customers, no fraternizing with customers and, absolutely no women. Lucas is a quick study, but their friendship is put to the test when the distraught and beautiful April (Isild Le Besco) shows up at the bar seeking shelter, and Lucas insists they help her out.
The Good Heart is available on demand from your cable or satellite provider starting April 2nd. Don’t miss the HDNet Movies Sneak Preview Wednesday, April 28th at 8 PM ET, followed by encores at 9:45 and 11:30 PM.

ONG BAK 3 premiers tonight.
Directed, Story, Screenplay: "Tony Jaa" Panom Yeerum, Panna Rittikrai
Starring: Tony Jaa, Dan Chupong, and Primrata Dej-Udon.
Martial arts legend Tony Jaa writes, directs, produces and stars in Ong Bak 3, the third and final installment in one of the most beloved action series of all time. Picking up at the cliffhanger ending where Ong Bak 2 leaves off, Jaa ramps up the epic supernatural elements of the previous film, while still maintaining the trademark bone-crunching action that the series is known for. This time he must face his ultimate enemy: a fierce supernatural warrior named "Demon Crow," played by fellow martial arts sensation Dan Chupong. Eagerly anticipated by martial arts aficionados for some time, the matchup of Jaa and Chupong is explosive.
See it before it's in theatres. Ong Bak 3 premieres On Demand Friday December 3rd. And don't miss the HDNet Movies Sneak Preview on Wednesday, January 12th.

THE WARLORDS is a solid movie about civil war in China in the 1860s. It has spectacular battle scenes, but it's not a kung fu movie, it's a historical war movie about moral dilemmas in the heat of warfare and the way friendships are torn asunder when one man gains and abuses power in the name of a cause. Jet Li gives a great performance.

I don't know what cut of the WARLORDS played here in the US, but holy crap some of the battle carnage rivals what Spielberg did in PRIVATE RYAN - it's gory as sin at times.
as for HDNET Movies, screw you RCN (here in DC) for dropping it from it's channel lineup!

I saw Barry Munday as a part of their early premiers. They did have a higher frequency of new movies a while ago though.

Time Warner still has been great with pre-theater releases.
I've seen recently:
The Other Woman (Natalie Portman)
White Material
The Time That Remains (Elia Suleiman)
