Re: What happened to the HDNET Movies Early Premieres?

I guess no one watched it. Lucky for them. I did.

Was terribly boring. Nothing happened. It was two whiny teen girls who may or may to have been werewolves.

Re: What happened to the HDNET Movies Early Premieres?

It was terrible. I thought it was meant to be a horror movie, so I just kept waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Jack was a dick.

Well, thanks for taking the (silver?) bullet for me. I DVR'd this but haven't watched it--guess I'll just delete it now.

Is this supposed to be good, or so-bad-it's-good? I like the genre, but haven't seen anything in this series.

Re: What happened to the HDNET Movies Early Premieres?

They just had a behind the scenes segment on Attack of the Show for Universal Soldier. Roy Jones Jr. is in this and he fights Andrei Arlovski! What the fuck is the movie?!

Re: What happened to the HDNET Movies Early Premieres?

Well, I'm sure I'll be in the minority but I did not like it at all. Sure the fights, what few of them there were, were great but the movie is mostly boring. The chief problem is that the audience is just watching the main character play catchup to what's so obvious. Also, the bulk of the script reminded me of the show Last Resort in that the most interesting story (what's going on with Van Damme and his army of Unisols) is not the story being told. Even the "twist ending" was a letdown.

It's funny because the film actually hits on a lot of the same beats as Regeneration but less effectively because there's no sense of urgency in Day Of Reckoning. It actually feels like Day Of Reckoning is an early, less refined attempt at what would eventually be Regeneration rather than the other way around.

At least since this film once again hammered home the
Spoiler:
cloning
angle hinted at the end of Regeneration, hopefully the next film will feature
Spoiler:
the real Luc Devereaux (cos even the one in Regeneration felt nothing like the character from Universal Soldier)
or simply ignore the events of this movie.

I guess I'm the only one who wasted his time on the latest UniSol flick.

I'm 3/4 through and the highlight has been the fight scene in the sporting goods store.

Yeah, that fight was great. However, is it just me or does Arlovski seem nowhere near as badass as he was in the last movie?

Storage 24 sounds cool. It's Cthulu stalking dumb/pretty people in a public storage facility. Nailed it!
