RIP Charles B Pierce 70s/80s director

Just found out this b-movie director died on march 5th, he did the Boggy Creek movies and The Town That Dreaded Sundown. imdb also shows he did sets on Dillinger and Josey Wales. I like his fascination of these strange things that lurked in the dark corners of the dogwoods...

Ok, I never heard of him but "Boggy Creek" scared the shit out of me back in the 70's so the man knew how to bring the scary.

RIP

A definite shame. The Town that Dreaded Sundown is a personal favorite. I was surprised to read that he was in a nursing home at 71 years. R.I.P.

I just noticed that my childhood love Dawn Wells played in both The Town That Dreaded Sundown and Return to Boggy Creek. I'll plan a double feature to ogle her and honor Mr. Pierce.

He also directed "The Norseman".

The best Vikings vs. Indians movie starring Lee Majors EVER!

Didn't he produce Macon County Line? Another of his films, released by AIP, available on Vestron VHS is The Evictors with the gal who starred in Suspiria.

A movie about an NFL team playing an MLB team? Weird.

Related, I've always hoped that the Kensington Runestone is someday proven to be genuine. It places Vikings in Minnesota in the 14th century.

I will also have to view his movies in honor again. The last time i saw Town that Dreaded Sundown was over a decade ago when looking at the videostore and seeing that poster on the cover, i knew i had to watch that movie instantly.
