FROZEN (2010) (dir. Adam Green)
Three skiers are stranded on a chairlift and forced to make life-or-death choices that prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.

i enjoyed HATCHET and SPIRAL so i'm really looking forward to this, especially since it was shot on location and not with green screens.

So excited to see this. I'm also a big fan of Hatchet and Spiral and all the glowing reviews are just adding to the anticipation of seeing this.

I liked both Hatchet and Spiral so I'm definitely down to see this.

I assume not many. I don't think Spiral had a theatrical release (unless it was really, really limited) and according to Box Office Mojo Hatchet was only released in 93 theaters (not sure if that's locations or screens).

Re: FROZEN (2010) (dir. Adam Green)
This concept sounds just terrible to me, and everything I've seen leads me to believe that I'm right. However, I'm holding out hope that Green can do better than Hatchet (can't do much worse, imo), and that these early reviews are right.
I'll check this out once it hits DVD.

Re: FROZEN (2010) (dir. Adam Green)
The reviews I've seen from the blogs on Sundance have been fairly positive. I usually go with the internet communities when it comes to genre films rather than say the big critics as they'll usually tend to bash such fare.
However, I saw Hatchet theatrically and wanted my money back and I shut off Sprial about thirty minutes into it because I had better things to do with my time.
The concept intrigues me, but I think Green is a poor writer and director based off his two first efforts.

Hatchet was quite enjoyable, I haven't seen Spiral.
The premise for this is ridiculous unless this takes place 20 years ago. Just pull out a cellphone, problem solved!

I usually leave my phone, keys, wallet, etc. inside a locker at the base of the mountain. So it's at least kinda possible.

Re: FROZEN (2010) (dir. Adam Green)
Sounds like a silly premise to me. I'd imagine anyone who's ever worked at a ski resort or operated a ski lift would know the precautions taken so such a thing doesn't happen, but I'm probably thinking too much about it.
I didn't think Hatchet was very good at all and haven't seen Spiral but I'll reserve judgment on this until I hear reviews.

Only one character drops the phone, the other 2 do a simultaneous facepalm.

The cell phone issue is easily explainable. They are all on AT&T*, hence, none of them have any signal.
