I think a big snout would look even worse. And be harder for the actor to deal with if it was some kind of prosthetic...or worse yet, CGI.

Every time I see something new about this movie I try to get excited about it but it seems to just let me down more...the poster is kinda lame in my opinion. The tag line is pretty shitty too.

Pete's shadow taking a power dump on the poster really does seem to convey the tone of this film. The lazy tagline is just giving you the middle finger for added measure.
Yup. That's what I read somewhere in this thread as well.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)
I thought movie producers were known to not use big-breasted actresses in Hollywood because it would cause the audience to stare at the breast. I think they forgot to apply the same strategy when hiring Garfield. I can't take my eyes off his huge head or huge hair.
A dark poster and The Untold Story....great...The Spiderman franchise is getting reverse-Joel Schumacherized. It's Batman movies that need to be dark, not Spiderman movies!
And don't forget the epic scene of The Lizard scaring or eating sorority girls in the bathroom.

If you're deadset on Spiderman reboot so close to Raimi's, then I see no other way to go OTHER than dark and brooding. We JUST had colorful and (relatively) light hearted...

I'm all for a reboot that will make us forget about this:
