I think a big snout would look even worse. And be harder for the actor to deal with if it was some kind of prosthetic...or worse yet, CGI.

Um...it looks like the goomba from the 1993 Super Mario Brothers movie.

Looks like someone photoshopped the made-up head of an actor onto the body of one of the Visitors from the recent V-series.

Maybe it's the mouth, it looks like he has normal human teeth instead of fangs.

Yeah! I'm surprised he's naked.

That image reminds me of Godzilla 1996

Wouldn't untold story signify we haven't heard/read/seen the origin like 1000 times already?

Every time I see something new about this movie I try to get excited about it but it seems to just let me down more...the poster is kinda lame in my opinion. The tag line is pretty shitty too.

Add another +1 for "Untold Story, WTF?!" Cool design otherwise.

I agree with Mike. Not feeling the poster or the tagline.

"The Untold Story" probably refers to the story of his parents, not the origin.

looks like Peter Parker's got the "drunk girl urinating behind a Walmart dumpster" stance down pat.

I really doubt they will use
Spoiler:
Peter's parents as CIA spies who were killed by the Red Skull.

I am trying to resist the continued urge to shit on this movie but the poster and tagline put me over the edge. Yes this is going to suck balls and I hope it bombs. Horrible idea anyway. No way will I see this in he theater.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Pete's shadow taking a power dump on the poster really does seem to convey the tone of this film. The lazy tagline is just giving you the middle finger for added measure.

Yup. That's what I read somewhere in this thread as well.

LOL!

I thought movie producers were known to not use big-breasted actresses in Hollywood because it would cause the audience to stare at the breast. I think they forgot to apply the same strategy when hiring Garfield. I can't take my eyes off his huge head or huge hair.

A dark poster and The Untold Story....great...The Spiderman franchise is getting reverse-Joel Schumacherized. It's Batman movies that need to be dark, not Spiderman movies!

And don't forget the epic scene of The Lizard scaring or eating sorority girls in the bathroom.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

If you're deadset on Spiderman reboot so close to Raimi's, then I see no other way to go OTHER than dark and brooding. We JUST had colorful and (relatively) light hearted...

that was easily the best part of the entire trilogy

I was busting up laughing in the theater when that scene played
