Avatar at Imax 3D Multi-Plex in Ann Arbor

I was planning to travel to the Imax Theater at the Henry Ford Museum in Deerborn Michigan to see Avatar but it is still showing the Christams Carol. The Imax in Ann Arbor is showing Avatar but that is listed as a Imax Multi-plex. I think the screen is smaller. Anybody been to one of these? Is it worth the trip? It takes about 45 minutes to get there from Toledo, where I live. My brother-n-law has never been to an Imax. Will he still get the thrill?

LieMAX? Doesn't sound worth it to me. Save yourself the trip and check it out in RealD.
