I'm not certain all the comedians "got" what he was doing. Some seem genuinely puzzled, which is great. Quite a few of them probably aren't old enough to know precisely where he got most of the jokes from, or the entirely different dais and audience reaction they got back then (in large part due to the delivery, which MacDonald deliberately avoids), or they just aren't particularly well-researched. Good stuff.

I always like Norm. Bob Odenkirk and Norm are two comedians that I can't get enough of, but unfortunately don't see often nowadays. |
