Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
I'm not going to say anything, other than Cage continues to look for new ways to top himself, and not in a positive manner.

I read a description of the movie online and it sounded interesting. Then I saw the trailer which was kind of weak. Sounds like a pass for me.

For anyone daring to see this film, you have to be prepared.
Don't take the film seriously, or expect anything out of it. It's a Nicholas Cage film after all.
Think of the film by a different name: "Robin Hood vs. The Demonic Zombie Plague From Hell", and you'll have a much better experience.

It's 1/3 Robin Hood, 1/3 Army of Darkness, and 1/3 The Exorcist.
Like I said before, don't take it seriously and you'll have a much better experience. The audience I saw it with jumped at a few of the cheap 'gotcha' scenes, but it's not that bad of a film when seen in the proper light.

I won't take it seriously... but this still looks like the worst film imaginable. I'll wait to rent it on VHS.

After 68 reviews, it stands at 1% on the Rotton Tomatoe meter, with one lone critic giving it a fresh rating...and that critic said that it it's creaky, predictable and frequently idiotic.
Nicholas Cage has always been overrated in my book, so i I have no problem with him continually doing films like this...his over-acting fits them like a glove.

Overrated? Outside of Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas and very few others I don't recall Cage being particularly well rated.

I think Nicholas Cage's acting ability is underrated; the guy has an idea of what makes things work for characters, like his decision to use the false teeth and "Pokey-like" voice for Charlie Bodell in Peggy Sue Got Married.
