Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
I'm not going to say anything, other than Cage continues to look for new ways to top himself, and not in a positive manner.

Trailer is not working.
Anyway, disappointed in that I was hoping George Romero had finally been able to do a remake of his movie. :( |
Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
If only this was a remake of Halloween III.

I read a description of the movie online and it sounded interesting. Then I saw the trailer which was kind of weak. Sounds like a pass for me.

Poor poor Nicolas Cage.

Wow, this does indeed look terrible.

The film needs more bees.

For anyone daring to see this film, you have to be prepared.
Don't take the film seriously, or expect anything out of it. It's a Nicholas Cage film after all. Think of the film by a different name: "Robin Hood vs. The Demonic Zombie Plague From Hell", and you'll have a much better experience. :D |

Sounds good to me!

Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
It looks like a fun flick to me.
|
Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
It's 1/3 Robin Hood, 1/3 Army of Darkness, and 1/3 The Exorcist.
Like I said before, don't take it seriously and you'll have a much better experience. The audience I saw it with jumped at a few of the cheap 'gotcha' scenes, but it's not that bad of a film when seen in the proper light. |
Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
I won't take it seriously... but this still looks like the worst film imaginable. I'll wait to rent it on VHS.

Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
After 68 reviews, it stands at 1% on the Rotton Tomatoe meter, with one lone critic giving it a fresh rating...and that critic said that it it's creaky, predictable and frequently idiotic.
Nicholas Cage has always been overrated in my book, so i I have no problem with him continually doing films like this...his over-acting fits them like a glove. |
Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
I will wait for Armond's take on it

Is it so bad that it's good? A good B movie is nice now and then...

Re: Season of the Witch (2010) -Nicolas Cage
I think Nicholas Cage's acting ability is underrated; the guy has an idea of what makes things work for characters, like his decision to use the false teeth and "Pokey-like" voice for Charlie Bodell in Peggy Sue Got Married.
