Movies that you missed on the big screen and regret
I still remember seeing the trailer for Point Break and saying to my friend that it would be great to see on the big screen. Never did and regretted it. Great movie. Growing up i did regret not seeing Blade Runner, but after its many re-releases i have seen it a number of times now on the big screen.
So what about you guys?

like 99% of the movies I've seen, where I'd say "eventually" and then put it off until it doesn't happen.
Therefore too many to think of. Dammit.

I like Brick, but there's nothing about it that screams "must be seen on the big screen" to me.

Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries.
Does it matter that I wasn't even born when it was in theatres?

Now I know something is up when one of Philly's art-house theaters (there's three Landmarks there total) runs only that one movie in one of its theaters.

Avatar
I know that it's not even on the big screen yet but I know me and I know I'll never get around to seeing Avatar in theatres and when I'm watching at home It'll cross my mind about how I wished I saw it in theatres.

Wall-E.
This was the 1st and only Pixar movie I missed on the big screen. Time and I could not get one of my family members to go with me, they all thought it was silly.
When UP came out, I took my daughter (my wife does not like animated movies) on a date to see it. We both loved it. We still talk about the cute little boy behind us that cried with the talking dog walked off screen. He cried to his move, "The doggy, where is the doggy".

THE SCARLET EMPRESS (1934) (I've had opportunities to see this on the big screen over the years and consistently missed them. When I finally saw it on VHS, I kicked myself hard. Of all the Marlene Dietrich/von Sternberg movies, this one cries out most to be seen on the big screen.)
ARLINGTON ROAD (1999)
CRANK (2006)
I saw a 16mm film screening of THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN (1988) and was sorry I hadn't seen it in a real theater. I had even gone to a real theater (a single screen) to see it but the cashier had taken a bathroom break only minutes before the film was to start and the shithead ticket-taker wouldn't let anyone in until she got back, so I angrily stormed out. I refuse to reward asshole employee behavior and bad management. So I went up the block to a different theater to see DANGEROUS LIAISONS.

I saw Brick on the big screen, funnily enough.
For me, The Godfather... I was one week late to see a screening of it in the cinema in Vancouver when I visited earlier this year... and Part II was due to screen the day after I left. Go figure.

I'd pay to see Brick in a theater.

I liked the movie, but no big deal as far as having to see it on the big screen.
