Leap Year -- January 2010 (Adams, Goode, Scott)

Yes this appears to be a typical date movie, but it looks more on the original low budget side. Perhaps a good afternoon showing with the significant other.

Big pass for me too.

Amy Adams
Matthew Goode
Adam Scott
Kaitlin Olson
and John Lithgow

It's a shame to waste this cast.

Eh, I think Amy Adams is the most likable actress working today, so I may see it eventually.

I had never heard of Matthew Goode.

Looks like he was in Watchmen, but I didn't see that so I can't say how big of a role.

At first I thought it was the singer, but no E.

He played Adrian Veidt in Watchman, a fairly big role.

Spoiler:
He was the sort of bad guy

I believe he was also in Match Point

Yea, I have enjoyed watching the movies that Amy Adams are in, maybe it's just how the trailer was made...but it looks just like a regular romantic comedy, nothing special.

No surprises at all. They hate each other, go on a long overly-difficult journey, arguing the whole way, and then realize their feelings with a big romantic gesture at the end. It's cute enough, and Adams and Goode are well cast. And since most of it takes place in Ireland, there's some nice scenery along with pubs, pints, brawls, and corny sayings that seem wiser when told with a brogue.

Unless John Lithgow slays Amy Adams in the bathtub, I'm not seeing this.

I found Leap Year to be a bit forced and artificial. I have a thing for Amy Adams, I will admit, but this just wasn't her best performance. I would recommend Sunshine Cleaning over this.
