A few other things...

75% of Carol's gross was from 3D
Couples Retreat may make $100MM... It dropped less than 1%
|
Re: Box Office Thread 11/6-11/8 — A Christmas Carol
That gross for Precious is really impressive for only 18 screens!

I was hoping Men Who Stare At Goats would at least make it to #2. Oh well.
|
Re: Box Office Thread 11/6-11/8 — A Christmas Carol
Interesting that aside from Saw, no other movies really had big drops.

Wasn't Clooney supposed to stare in the movie? He is one of the men in the title, no?

Paranormal Activity dropped over 50%. Just saying. ;) I'm curious to see how wide of a release Sony gives The Boondock Saints II this coming weekend. I'd actually like to have a conversation with someone about the movie. |

MAY make!? With 95.6M in the bag currently, and making 6.1M this weekend, I'd say that's it's more likely to finish around 105-110K.
It's already made over $110,000. |

I don't consider anything under 50% a "big" drop.

I don't trust EW as far as I can throw them. I don't know what their problems were with it, but I thoroughly enjoyed the film.
