There was a preview for this on the DVD Faster, man does this look bad... horrible CGI in the trailor didn't help either.

I am 100% excited for this, it doesn't matter to me what the CGI looks like. Duncan Jones made one of my favorite films of 2009, one of those movies where I have to show it to everybody around me.

Horrible? I disagree. For the budget, it looks great. And there's a tremendous display of CGI muscle when Gyllenhaal's character jumps from a speeding train. A spectacular visual.

If Duncan Jones wasn't involved, I'd totally pass because of Jake Gyllenhaal as the lead. But ever since Moon I've been waiting for Jones's next project, so I'll definitely check this out.

I would say it's more of a ripoff of Tony Scott's 'Deja Vu' than anything else.

The question about 'a few minutes to live' immediately made me think of the 'I'd try' question from 'Deja Vu'.

Saw this tonight at a screening in Seattle with Duncan Jones. Thoroughly enjoyed Moon, but this was only all right. At 93 minutes it moves by way too quickly. I would have definitely liked to see another iteration of the scene, to give us a little more to go with, and also because it seemed like he deduced who the bomber was way to quickly.

At times it did basically feel like a long Twilight Zone episode, not that that's necessarily a bad thing (and afterwards, Jones said that was actually intentional). He also mentioned how the original script had been pretty dead on serious, like a sci-fi 24. He injected some humorous lines into it, which did work out to be pretty entertaining and did not detract from the pace.

The final act seems glued on rather strange, just something disjointed about how we arrived there, which might end up leaving a weird taste in some mouths

I saw the trailer for this in front of Battle: LA last night. Looks good, and I liked Moon, but the romantic subplot already grated on me and I haven't even seen it yet. The concept is cool, but tossing in some lame romance kills much of my excitement.
