I haven't watched it in ages, but I remember the ice field sequence in Titan AE being very impressive, while the rest of the movie was kinda generic, though servicable.
Just had a funny thought, wonder what kind of movie we would have if we took all these specific scenes and made one big impressive movie? |

Most likely a bunch of random clips strewn together with no real plot; something like a Michael Bay movie. I thought the beginning of Titan A.E. where they destroy Earth was cool as well. The fight between two "jumpers" at the end of the movie of the same name was the only redeeming thing in that horrendous p.o.s. |

I know most people don't like it, but I think its a great movie. The beginning of Atlantis: the Lost Empire gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it.

<b>Star Wars</b>- Lightsaber scenes. When you think about it Lightsabers are what truly caught everyone's attention. No Lightsabers = a regular ol' Sci Fi Shoot 'em Up.

The scenes in Naples, Italy in Hannibal. Not that great a movie, but good cinematography in those scenes is very well done; they are the only time the movie feels like a Ridley Scott film as opposed to one where he was the hired gun director.

Yes, Superman III came to mind for me too. Even as a kid I knew the movie paled compared to the first two, but absolutely loved that scene.

I think the final battle sequence in Saving Private Ryan is even more compelling than the opening one. But neither can be considered mere "moments."

I would disagree, but I can see saying that 1/3 of the movie is good and the other 2/3 sucks, but you can't call 1/3 of the movie just moments. |

Where did all this Saving Private Ryan hate come from? I know people were displeased with the bookends, but to call it a crap film is a crap statement.
