Saw 6 has already made back it's production budget, so it's a win for the studio already. It has got to be one of the most profitable series going today, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

Considering they spend just shy of nothing on advertising the series anymore, and it still rakes in cash, I also think its safe.

So, you've watched all 6 films and still think it's trash? Why waste the money?

I'm just glad Amelia finished outside the top ten. This trend of Biography Porn has to stop.
The biography porn trend will continue for awhile. The Richard Pryor biopic was announced the other day and for a few years a Jeff Buckley biopic has been in development.

Exactly, at this point the month of October is just understood as having another Saw released, plus last year's movie comes out on DVD. That's really all the advertising the latest one needs.

They probably don't have to even think about financial issues with this series until the 8th one the earliest.

Oh I bet the accounting dept is already tightening the screws on the 7th's budget... sure VI will be profitable, but much less so than the others.
