The Woman in Black (1989)

I just saw this film and really liked it. It had some good genuine atmosphere and scares (two scenes in particular really stand out to me) The movie kind of reminded me of a mix of The Changeling and Let's Scare Jessica to Death among other things. I know its an adaption of the book. Has anyone read it? I was surprised to hear that it only played on television twice. Anyway if you can find it, I highly recommend it.

The film version is a good film, but a horrible adaption of the source material. The play version, which has run in the West End of London for 22 years is an absolutely terrifying experience.
