THE BAADER MEINHOFF COMPLEX, worth seeing in theaters?
Its a german movie from the director of Downfall and also has Bruno Ganz. Noticed there's a screening of it tomorrow at 730 at the charles downtown. I've heard its very good/great, only thing that concerns me somewhat is the 2.5 hour run time.

It's actually not from the director of Downfall. That's Oliver Hirschbiegel, the director of this is Uli Edel. That might affect your decision.
I saw the film and I thought the first 2/3 were fantastic, but it kind of goes in a different direction for the last 1/3 and I lost interest. I would give it an 8/10 overall.

I reviewed it here: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/39665...f-complex-the/
Truly phenomenal direction, depressingly unlikable characters. Which is not unexpected, given the subject matter, but it makes it a tough watch.

I caught it a couple weeks ago and thought it was great. It's a piece of recent history that doesn't get much press.

I thought it was good but my theater was showing a digital projection and it didn't look as good as if it were film, especially in close ups and fast movement so keep that in mind before going (ask) as I was kind of pissed about that as it looked like a blowned up dvd or similar.
