Takers - Paul Walker, T.I., Chris Brown, Matt Dillon
A new robbery movie from John Luessonhop.
Trailer Here.
Looks pretty action packed, but will probably be dumb. Action looks good though.
Horrible poster, as well.

It's funny that while the trailer features Hayden dressed that way, they couldn't grab a shot of that for the poster. Instead it's an obvious photo double with a head strip.
As for Dillon, he's the Pacino in this Heat redux, so it makes sense that he wouldn't be on the poster highlighting the villains of the piece. It's about the only thing the poster does right, really.
The film will probably not be good, that much is a given from the trailer. It even has a "cool guys don't look at explosions" shot.

It's sad when Paul Walker is arguably the best actor in the movie
and I kinda like him as an actor for some reason

He's been called the Drifter, The Shape Shifter, The Chameleon, The Master Chef, The Problem Child, The Hard One, The White Indian, The Giant Midget, and Lawrence Norbade...

well the poster doesn't make the movie . Ive seen great posters for sharty movies pretty much any horror film or comedy letdown . And trailers on PG13 movies usually always show the scariest part of the whole damn movie

Re: Takers - Paul Walker, T.I., Chris Brown, Matt Dillon
This movie was extremely heavy handed. Horrible self important music, slow motion dramatic action shots and lots of tacked on character 'depth'. It felt like every 5 minutes there was a new mention of some character backstory that really held no real baring on the story (Dillon's divorce/bad parenting, the dialysis kid, Idris Elba's sister, Zoe Saldana and Jay Hernandez entire characters felt like filler) - all of that felt tacked on to a story that could have just been a fun heist flick. I'm not saying they can't have dramatic moments or go for a big ending, but damn, if Paul Walker/Chris Brown and Hayden Christensen are in your movie, you aren't making The Godfather.
In other hands it could have been a good diversion but it really felt like a missed opportunity and that it was trying hard to become the new Scarface or something....and I like T.I.'s music, but don't get me started on how horrible his performance was in this film. He would just bark out his lines. Matt Dillon is the best part and there are a few cool moments with the action but overall it was pretty weak.

I've yet to see to it and I don't think I will cuz it does't look interesting to me but...I'm getting annoyed by all the ads saying that it's "this generation's Heat!"...I highly doubt that.

Any movie that stars a slew of rappers is instant shit no matter who else is involved. It also doesn't help when your marketing confirms there's nothing worth seeing.

Reminds me of the Kinight & Day poster. If they cannot be bothered to make a decent poster I don't see why I should make the effort to see the film.
Also, if I was an actor I would have it in my contract not to have myself photoshopped in such a way that I look like an twat!
