Very happy to see Zombieland do so well. Woody kicks ass!
Oh, and Chris, does it drive you crazy that this 25 year old poster plans on seeing Toy Story 1 & 2 multiple times during it's run?

Now I feel bad I didn't see Whip It this weekend... maybe tomorrow.
I want to see Zombieland as well. The positive reviews have hyped me up for seeing it. The trailers didn't make it look that good.

When I was 8 and 9, was I lining up for Disney movies? Hell, no, I was watching Italian swordfighting spectacles with titles like THE MONGOLS, LAST OF THE VIKINGS, CARTHAGE IN FLAMES, THE TROJAN HORSE, THE MINOTAUR and SAMSON AND THE SEVEN MIRACLES.

lol - Ironic, you calling out someones adulthood. You drive around without car insurance and refuse to pay for it. Yes, very adult of you! You are mature and grown up!
OK - back on topic...

Yeah, that's the same way I feel when I see adults - who obviously had a choice - in the theater for Michael Bay movies. Dorks.

This and numerous ridiculous comments in general especially in the Roman Polanski thread have to make you the most loathed person on this form.

With Barrymore's "Whip It" bombing it doesnt look good for Female Directed/ Female Fronted films at the box office. Jennifer's Body, Whip It and the Upcoming bomb Amelia are all from Fox/ Fox Searchlight and I wonder if we will be seeing much more female driven films from them after the recent bombs.

I'm also pretty sure Amelia will probably be a box-office disappoinment (if not outright failure). I could be wrong, but the movie isn't boasting a great pedigree: a historical piece with feminist overtones, kind of an ehh-director, and a star who's a critical fave but not a box-office draw. Plus, you know, Swank always comes off as kinda ****y. Could be a good movie, but otherwise it'll get the old El Paso.
I'd love to see Scorsese do a Lindbergh movie, though. Contrast one hell of an accomplished, nigh-heroic figure against a Hitler-lovin', Jew-hatin', white supremacist douchebag. Starring Jonah Hill.

I remember thinking Amelia could be an awesome movie. The trailer, though, crushed all of my expectations for it. It looks totally and completely uninteresting.

If Amelia does as well as Australia, I'll be shocked. There's not any good buzz over it. Which is a shame, because I really really liked The Namesake.
