Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

Sorry to hear that. He was a great actor and just an all around great guy.
I have a lot of his movies on DVD, I'll have to watch a few in his honor.

Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

Maybe Swayze and Farley are dancing away together once again.

Seriously though, while expected, still very sad news.

RIP!

I haven't seen the show yet, but I'm glad he was able to go out with something respectable that he was proud of as his final credit.

RIP Patrick

Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

He actually had some acting chops.
gave us some great movies.
He was a great actor
Just because the guy died an untimely death, let's not turn him into Olivier here. His filmography is almost completely forgettable.

Sad news. Even though almost every one of his movies falls into the "guilty pleasures" category, he was always likeable on screen.

Let's not go that far. Olivier he was not, but I'll be goddamned if I could forget some of the ass-kickery he provided in Red Dawn, Road House, Point Break... The man had charisma and gave us some damn fun movies.

Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

So sad.

I was supposed to book an interview with him last month for The Beast DVD release but he had to pull out of press. I would suspect he began taking a turn for the worse weeks ago.

Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

Well, he didn't dispute the National Enquirer's latest front page story, "Patrick Swayze going home to die!" - they apparently got it right, again!

I have quite a few of his movies. Weird, just yesterday I was looking at two of his movies on my shelf side-by-side, "Three Wishes" and "Ghost" - both movies in which in died in!

RIP Patrick - you put up a brave fight.

I agree. "Red Dawn," "Point Break," and "Ghost" will always be some of my favorite movies. I have a lot of memories watching his various films growing up. None of them were really oscar-worthy, but they are movie that I still remember and he is an actor that I will miss.

For some reason I keep thinking about the final scene from point break. Looks like I'll be watching that tonight...

RIP Mr. Swayze

Re: AP reporting Patrick Swayze has Died

Damn. He seemed like a really great guy. I was always a fan of his, although I oddly don't have any of his movies on DVD. Not even the great Point Break. I'm gonna have to borrow my mom's copy of Black Dog tomorrow.
