Be The Producer Game: Memorial Day Weekend Group(Please Vote!!)

Some of your fellow board members have come up with ideas for movies. You have Memorial Day Weekend to watch up to 3 of the following movies. Please vote for the ones you would be likely watch.

Movie #1

Producer: JasonF
Franchises: King Arthur and Aliens
Directed By: Ridley Scott
Starring: Clive Owen, Scarlett Johansson, Daniel Craig
Supporting: Anthony Hopkins, James Callis, Kate Beckinsale
Cameo: Dame Helen Mirren
Screenwriter: David Peoples
Punch-Up Writer: James Cameron
Score: Jerry Goldsmith
Summary: Alien: Camelot Fallen: Director Ridley Scott returns to the sci-fi horror franchise he created with this exhilirating action-horror story set in King Arthur's Camelot. When a comet crashes to Earth near Camelot, it brings with it something more -- a deadly xenomorph that kills all in its path. Now, with the help of his sworn enemies Morgan LeFay and Mordred, King Arthur and his knights must stop the creature before it's too late. Starring Daniel Craig (King Arthur), Scarlett Johansson (Guinevere), Clive Owen (Lancelot), Sir Anthony Hopkins (Merlin), Kate Beckinsale (Morgan LeFay), James Callis (Mordred), and Dame Helen Mirren (Nymue). Written by David Peoples (Blade Runner, Unforgiven) with James Cameron. Rated R for horror, violence, and strong sexual content.

Movie #2

Producer: Groucho
Franchises: The Little Tramp and Evil Dead
Directed By: Sam Raimi
Starring: Bruce Campbell, Charlie Chaplin, Jason Statham
Supporting: Ted Raimi, Bridget Fonda, Groucho Marx
Cameo: David Hassellhoff
Screenwriter: David Mamet
Score: George Gershwin
New Original Song: The Beatles
Summary: City Lights 2: Dead by Dawn

The Little Tramp (Charlie Chaplin) has settled down with the Flower Girl (Bridget Fonda) and together they run a struggling flower shop. The Tramp befriends a crazy millionaire (David Hasselhoff as himself) who only likes The Tramp when he is drunk (which is quite often!) In one of these drunken states, Hasselhoff gives The Tramp his prize possession: the last surviving copy of The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis.

While the Tramp is asleep, the Flower Girl reads aloud from the book on a whim, only to find herself possessed by an evil spirit. She transforms into an ugly hag (now played by Ted Raimi), and attempts to kill the Tramp, who manages to lock her in the cellar -- but not before she decapitates poor Hasselhoff! And things are getting worse as The Tramps neighbors began to become possessed one-by-one and attempt to enter his poorly-constructed home.

The Tramp calls the police, and The Cop (Jason Statham) appears. The Cop kicks ass and takes names, but is overwhelmed. It looks like curtains for The Tramp and The Cop, when the wise-cracking Professor (Groucho Marx) appears. The Professor investigates a passage in the book, and declares that he has found that a hero can come from the future and save the day. The Professor reads the passage but is killed (by his own cigar!) just as he finishes the last word.

The Time Traveller appears -- it is chainsaw-wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell). Ash, The Cop, and The Tramp team up and destroy the remaining demons. The credits roll, as the new Beatles hit "I Shot That She-Bitch There" plays.

Rated "R" for graphic violence and tobacco use. 121 minutes.

Movie #3

Producer: orangecrush
Franchises: The Godfather and Grand Theft Auto IV
Directed By: David Fincher
Starring: Robert Downey Jr, Edward Norton, Don Cheadle
Supporting: Monica Belluci, Penelope Cruz, Phillip Seymour Hoffman
Cameo: Scarlett Johansson
Screenwriter: Quentin Tarantino
Score: Trent Reznor
Punch Up Writer: Robert Towne
Summary: "Grand Theft Auto: Godfather follows the story of Niko Bellic (Robert Downey Jr), an illegal immigrant and veteran of the Bosnian War. After persuasion from his cousin Roman (Edward Norton), Niko leaves Eastern Europe to come to Liberty City, where he hopes to forget his criminal past and pursue the American Dream.
After his arrival, however, Niko quickly learns that Roman's tales of riches and luxury were lies concealing Roman's struggles with debt and gangsters. Rated R for very strong sexual content, adult themes, drug abuse, massive scences of violence and language.
"

Movie #4

Producer: woody5254
Franchises: James Bond and Jason Bourne
Directed By: John Woo
Starring: Matt Damon, Sean Connery, Gary Oldman
Supporting: Alan Rickman, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Connelly
Cameo: Chuck Norris
Screenwriter: Luc Besson
Score: Prince
Punch Up Writer: Quentin Tarantino
Summary: Billionaire brothers(Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman) are out to flood the world and create their own underwater utopia. With each of the ice caps melting the world needs James Bond(Sean Connery) and Jason Bourne(Matt Damon) more then ever before. James Bond will head to the north pole with the help of Dr. Kitten(Jessica Alba), while Jason Bourne journies to the South Pole with Dr. Bristow(Jennifer Connelly). Rated R for some sensuality and violence throughout.

The poll will be open for 6 days, so take your time. All the "producers" will have the option to promote their movies within this thread. So give it a read through before making your final decision.

First, my movie is call GTA: Godfather. Here are some more details for you guys:

Monica Bellucci will be Mallorie, Roman's girlfriend.
Penélope Cruz will be Kate McReary (Bellic's love interest and much more open to sexual encounters than in the game)
Phillip Seymour Hoffman will play Dimitri Rascalov, a Russian criminal and enemy of Bellis and Roman.

Scarlett Johansson will make a cameo in a scene remincient of Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut masked orgy scene.

Rated R for very strong sexual content, adult themes, drug abuse, massive scences of violence and language.

Directed by David Fincher
Screenplay by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Towne
Score by Trent Resnor

Re: Be The Producer Game: Memorial Day Weekend Group(Please Vote!!)

Here's my summary and (crappily photoshopped) poster:

Alien: Camelot Fallen: Director Ridley Scott returns to the sci-fi horror franchise he created with this exhilirating action-horror story set in King Arthur's Camelot. When a comet crashes to Earth near Camelot, it brings with it something more -- a deadly xenomorph that kills all in its path. Written by David Peoples (Blade Runner, Unforgiven) with James Cameron. Rated R for horror, violence, and strong sexual content.

And yes, there is a secene in which Scarlett Johansson and Kate Beckinsale do full frontal nudity together.

Where is the Godfather content? No Pacino, no DeNiro, not even any Andy Garcia. Is this one of those crap-jobs where the studio sticks the Godfather name on a completely unrelated movie in the hopes of tricking people into the theaters?

I am offended sir. Do you think that David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino or Trent Reznor would be on board if that were the case? How Dare you?

I find it interesting that very few people have voted for more than one movie.

I remember thinking last year about who would be cast in a GTAIV movie. I had Gerard Butler as Niko, Casey Affleck as Packie, Al Pacino as Pegorino, and Marisa Tomei (channeling My Cousin Vinny) as Mallorie. I couldn't think of anyone for Roman.

I'll vote for this one though.

I think people from this group are going to have a very hard time making it into the finals with the trend of people only voting for 1 movie.

Woody - would it be possible to add my rating and reason for rating to my summary in post #1? It is the only movie without a rating shown there.

I think future polls should only have one vote per person. 3 choices is like saying that you'd see all three films in that proposed weekend.

Re: Be The Producer Game: Memorial Day Weekend Group(Please Vote!!)

I think Groucho, orangecrush, and me were afraid to give votes to our rivals.

What was everyone else's excuse for only voting once?

Note: It is perfectly appropriate to only vote once if that one vote is cast for my movie. For example, Maxflier did it right!

Re: Be The Producer Game: Memorial Day Weekend Group(Please Vote!!)

Also, Scarlett is looking for a date to the premiere and has decided she will randomly chose one person who voted for my movie as her date. Just a little FYI as you chose who to vote for.

And for the ladies (or the guys who like guys), Clive Owen has agreed to be your date if you are the randomly chosen winner.
