I'm surprised his self exile has lasted to be honest. I thought for sure he'd be back and I clicked his profile and it said he last logged in on March 10th which was after his big blowup and telling everyone he was deleting his bookmark. Ah well I guess.

Well, rape never occurred in Fantastic Four. It was The Avengers that were notorious in 1980 for issue #200 of Vol. 1 where Ms. Marvel was raped by her own baby. Basically, she suddenly became pregnant, three days later she gave birth to a baby named Marcus, and said baby aged to adulthood almost instantly. Then it was revealed that he had been trapped in the no-time known as Limbo. So he mind controlled Carol Danvers so she'd enter Limbo and he could impregnate her with himself and so he could be born out of Limbo.
But it's all cool because, even though the Avengers defeated Marcus and sent him back to Limbo, Carol eventually forgave her baby daddy/son/rapist and decided to chill with him in Limbo so he wouldn't be lonely.

Firstly, great job on the vortex.
Secondly, that issue sounds weird as hell. I just picked it up as part of the big Avengers sale on Comixolgy...I'm going to have to check it out.
It also sounds strangely similar to a 2003 X-Men arc about Nightcrawler's dad. However, that arc made less sense. Azazel (his father) was trapped in some dimension, and to free himself from it, he came to our dimension and impregnated a bunch of women with teleporting mutant babies so they could teleport to his dimension and free him.
Yes, he left his dimension to have kids who would be able to free him from his dimension.
Crap...I'm starting my own vortex here.

It looks okay. The second trailer doesn't make it seem like it's taking itself so seriously. Still not really sold on Teller as Richards. Doom's mask looks kind of weird too.

Not liking Teller in this either, especially as the guy who's changing the world. Nothing really wowed me in that trailer, seems kind of generic. I like the Human Torch effects though, and I feel like he might end up being the best part of the movie the way the previous movies were.

I do agree that it looks somewhat generic. I don't think it looks bad but it doesn't seem like something we haven't already seen before. My guess is it'll be decent but somewhat forgettable like the other two films. I think that the humor in the new trailer was better and it didn't seem like it was trying to be an ultra-serious sci-fi film like the first teaser did. The Thing looks okay and Human Torch seems cool too. Actually most of the main cast seems okay to me aside from Teller.

High schoolers? The fucking answer is stereotypes of high schoolers.
This has just been relegated to the likes of Hunger Games, Twilight, and Divergent. This may have the characters from the Fantastic Four in it, but it does not have any FF feeling to it. It looks as if it may be an OK movie (I will go see it) but I have major issues with movies where high school kids solve the problems the world's finest have not been able to crack. I can suspend belief and buy aliens and superheroes, but I draw the line there. Was this written by that whiny bitch from Game of Thrones?
PS -- After reading everybody's comments about Teller, I am severely disappointed. I was really hoping Penn would do all the talking for him.

I dunno. I see FF feeling in there. Again this may be cuz I know them well but they've been a lot of things. Not just one thing. And where is this HS stuff coming from? Did I miss that from the trailer?
