I like Carnahan. I'm surprised people judge him based on his "splash page" films like Smokin' Aces and A-Team.

I enjoyed the hell out of The A-Team. It knows exactly what kind of movie it is and just sits back and has fun with it. Bad Boys III done in the same self aware style could be great fun!

Smokin' Aces and A-Team are more in-line with Bad Boys than The Grey or Narc.

Not really, he does the whole "one for them, one for me." thing. His last movie basically went straight to video for being a little too out there, despite being pretty jam packed for a $5m movie. Though I personally blame it on there being too much Chris Pine nut sack.

“Bad Boys 3″ is set for Feb. 17, 2017 with “Bad Boys 4″ slated to bow on July 3, 2019. The first two pics starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, though it’s unknown whether those two actors are on board for the next two movies.

So if Mike Lowrey is supposed to be married with a family in this movie, I wonder if they will try to bring back Gabrielle Union to play Smith's wife?
She did play Smith's love interest in the 2nd movie was the sister of Lawrence's character Burnett.

At least they aren't re-booting Bad Boys with Michael B. Jordan and Donald Glover as their younger counterparts.
