I like most of his movies.I like him more for introducing some great Asian Cinema movies to the west.

You need to see BATTLE ROYALE and POLICE STORY 3: SUPERCOP (preferably in its original HK version and not the English dub known solely as SUPERCOP). Probably the two best films on the list. POLICE STORY 3 was the first film I saw with Michelle Yeoh and she more than holds her own with Jackie in it.

I see a few people havent seen JSA....

Well, really should. Great story, great movie all-around.

And I like the Jackie Brown reference; very underappreciated.

Sweet. QT made a list of the movies he's going to rip off next. [runs away]

Some good movies on the list and I'm too surprised OldBoy didn't make it. I'd figure that's right up QT's alley.

Good to see Dazed and Confused on the list. Probably my most watched movie over the last few years.

Re: Tarantino names his Top 20 movies since 1992

These from Tarantino's list would make my list:

The Matrix
Shaun of the Dead
Unbreakable

These from droidguy1119's list would make my list:

Almost Famous
Chasing Amy
Children of Men
Léon: The Professional [International/Director’s Cut]
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou

Some movies that would fill the remaining 12 slots:

Eight Days a Week
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Munich
Anchorman
Kill Bill Vol. 1
American Splendor
Pan's Labyrinth
Return of the King
Clerks.
25th Hour
Blood In, Blood Out (Bound by Honor)
Memento

I didn't put anything from the last year or two, perspective and all, although I'm sure if I made this list in 5 years (500) Days of Summer and The Wrestler will easily be on it.

Tarantino has good tastes. Sure, there's some oddballs in there that I don't like but Boogie Nights and Unbreakable make me feel like it's my own list.

everyone's entitled to their opinions... so here are mine

Chasing Amy

Anchorman

Return of the King (oh come on, everyone knows that 'Two Towers' was the best of the three - the Oscar awards for 'Return' were pity wins)

Chasing Amy is awesome, Anchorman is the best comedy of the past 10 years, and RotK is far and away better than Two Towers, which is also vastly inferior to Fellowship. So there .

Correct, VERY wrong, they're all pretty much the same (very good).

That's how I feel about them too. But I favor the Two Towers Extended as the one I enjoy the most.

"Memories of Murder" is excellent.

Has "The Blade" ever been released on DVD in the US?

Great overall list with a few unusal picks. Some I could care less about.

Surprised to see two on there from Joon Ho-bong and I totally agree with one. Wonder what his opinion of the upcoming Mother will be. Host was great with the emergence of the creature an incredibly terrifying moment; never mind full of black comedy - but I can't relate to it being a top film.

JSA I would totally agree with. Oldboy is a solid film, easily in my top 50, but it is not as an accessible film for most - cringe worthy violence and incestrous themes.

The concept of Battle Royale is a complete mind fuck! Love it dearly ..and I don't believe that it is over-hyped. If it is it's for a reason.

I knew absolutely nothing about Audition prior to seeing it other than who directed it. Was completely blown away by the evolution and disturbing nature of this highly unpredictable masterpiece.

And lastly, Insider - Michael Mann's best film and perhaps Crowe's best performance. Truly excellent film.

That's pretty much a common (and overused) joke on the Internets.

(Heck, I remember calling him that nickname to a friend back when I saw Lady in the Water in the theater in 2006. I think my exact line was "That's the last time I waste my money to go see one of M. Night Shyamalama-ding-dong's movies!")

I've been hearing that name for him since The Sixth Sense.

Re: Tarantino names his Top 20 movies since 1992

Sequels have no bearing on the original movie. I don't care less for Superman because of The Quest for Peace.

That said, The Matrix stands on its own just fine. Then again, I don't think the sequels are that bad, and some parts are actually pretty incredible.

Well, QT and I strongly agree about The Insider anyway.
