Alright, looks like we have all the pieces. The schedule will be posted sometime today and we will start a thread for the first round of matches.
Please send me a short 1-to-3 sentence summary of the movie (something you'd see in a TV Guide, for example). We will use the thread so you can start making fun of the other movie.

PM sent. I was working on one of my posters last night and my wife asked me what I was doing. Upon hearing my respose she said: "I never knew you were such a nerd before we got married." This is comming from a woman whose favorite show is Deep Space Nine and loves Anne McCaffrey.

Attention!
We've received summaries of most of the players. While a few of you are still AWOL, some of the theater distributors (via studio execs) have contacted us and complained that having all the films in one summer weekend would be disastrous for the box office.
They've asked each one of us to select our preference for which release window you want to open up in. The available windows are:
Memorial Day
Independence Day
August
Please send ME a PM anytime after 11:00AM Eastern tomorrow (9/2) with your preference order, such as:
1) August
2) Memorial Day
3) Independence Day
You'll be fit in depending on the timeliness of your PM and your preference.
There are only 4 slots in each release window, so keep this in mind as you'll be battling each other for the elusive DVD Talk audience's attention!

Take into consideration that each weekend (thread) will be spaced out so if you need more time to market, etc. you want to pick a later weekend. The Memorial Weekend thread is likely to appear within the next week.
Also, if you have any last minute changes, your time to do so has expired. Execs have asked primary photography to begin ASAP and they won't tolerate any cast or crew changes.

OK, here's the file with everyone's summaries (that I got up to a certain point).
Release schedule is:
Memorial Day
orangecrush: Godfather vs Grand Theft Auto IV
woody5254: 007 vs. Bourne
JasonF: King Arthur vs. Aliens
Groucho: The Little Tramp vs. Evil Dead
Independence Day
wishbone: Masters of the Universe vs Last Starfighter
devilshalo: Terminator vs Back to the Future
sauce07: Spinal Tap vs Animal House
Mano: Calvin & Hobbes vs. Lord of the Rings
August
The Bus: Indiana Jones vs. Pirates of the Caribbean
Michael Corvin: The Expendables vs. Leon
Fist of Doom: Death Wish vs. Beverly Hills Cop
Suprmallet: The Muppets vs. Sherlock Holmes
woody5254, with the assistance of Super Mullet, will start the threads (one "weekend" at a time) regarding the films.
The next one will start soon, with voting going through next week. Then the "July 4" thread will start, and finally (in late September) the August one. Everyone can participate in every thread but keep in mind the focus of the thread should be on the four movies in that part of the season.
woody will explain the voting process, but you're basically looking for as many votes as possible.

Sorry I didn't get my synopsis in. I've been a bit busy lately and this thread slipped through the cracks.
