Re: If you could live in one films setting....
Sadly, I can't think of a single movie set in my favorite type of future in science fiction literature-- a post-singularity, post-scarcity, post-human one (not in that humans are extinct-- in that they are no longer trapped in meat and meatspace.) Not even in anime, which has more advanced concepts than Hollywood stuff.

Terrence Malick has a ridiculous way of making America look more beautiful than it really is. |

Bruges. And I've been there twice since seeing the film so I know first hand it's just as beautiful as the movie depicted.

Re: If you could live in one films setting....
Nicholas Roeg makes his settings super hypnotic and invitingly intrigueing - like Venice in "Don't Look Now" and Australia in "Walkabout"

Pirates of the Caribbean
The shot of the island when Elizabeth opens her window at the beginning of the first movie is gorgeous! |

Taupo, NZ or Gisborne, NZ. I've been to both Taupo and Gisborne and would love to live in either place. Gisborne area: http://www.new-zealand-travel.org/im...sborne-lrg.jpg |
