Last Movie you saw at the Cinema

Re: Last Movie you saw at the Cinema
The Fright Night remake. The film projection was so terrible it made me long for DLP. This was at a theater in my old hometown that I stopped to visit out of nostalgia while passing through, but it's become really run down now.
I forgot how small some of their auditoriums were. The theater I was in only had about 60 seats total. Crazy small -- and the lone guy sitting across the aisle from me appeared to be a crackhead. Maybe the multiplexes aren't so bad after all.

made it a double feature yesterday
- Contagion (Uptown Theater) - unfortunately the screen was set for 2.35, since 'Contagion' is 1.85 it resulted in the top of the film to be cropped off - ugh...
- The Hedgehog (Landmark Bethesda)

Abduction (2011): 3.5/5
After a slow start, Abduction picks up pace and what we have is an exciting thriller with some plot twists that is certainly a good, entertaining watch, if maybe a bit predictable in places. Pretty violent for a 12A, IMO. But it was a good movie and I enjoyed it!

The Ides of March (Avalon Theater) the 35mm print didn't look all that great - the blacks were all crushed and were more gray than true black. As for the movie I thought it was pretty mediocre.

I don't see movies at the theater too often. There's rarely a movie that comes out that I can't wait to see in my own home on DVD after I've purchased it for my collection. If I do go, it will be something that I want the theater experience for...the sound, the scope, the feel you get from the crowd.
That said, the last movie I went to see at the theater was the Rush documentary, Beyond the Lighted Stage.

Spider-man 3. I can't go to the theater anymore. Too many people talking on cell phones, too many people bringing their screaming babies. Not worth the aggrivation.
